Nespresso Maestria middle light orange

When I turn it on my machine, the middle light colour is shining orange.

Manual says it is time for descaling. But after descaling, the light in the middle is still blinking orange.

How to solve this problem?

Q. What is the original meaning of orange light?

 

A. This indicator you need to descale your machine.

 

 

Q. My descaling light remains on after descaling, what does the orange light mean?

 

A. Your machine's water hardness may need to be reset or your machine may need to be descaled.

By default, the machine is set to hardest water setting, so it may prematurely indicate that descaling is requited, by activation the orange cappuccino light. When resetting the machine to factory settings, this setting will automatically be changed to 'hard' water.

If you have recently descaled the machine and the orange descaling light is still lit, please adjust the water hardness.

 

 

You can change the water hardness setting by following these steps:

 

1. Turn your machine off
2. Turn it on again, and press the Espresso button to enter the Menu mode  (Keep hold the left button during turn on the machine)
3. The middle light will begin to blink orange (After the middle light blink 3times, release the left button)
4. Set the Espresso dial(left) to "2" to select the Water Hardness mode
5. Set Lungo dial(right) to "2" for Medium Water Hardness or "3" for Soft water.
6. Press the Lunge button to confirm the desired setting
7. To exit the Menu mode at any time, press the Espresso button for 3 seconds.

Once this is done, the orange descaling indicator light will switch off. If the light remains lit,

your machine may need to be descaled.
